[attr="class","temptabinf"]Usually, Salem is quite wonderful to be around. Calm, quiet, kind, happy. All sorts of positive little emotions that seem to fit his delicate appearance. However, when placated like this, he is slow, not very mentally clear, he zones out an awful lot, and he's just sort of a space case. This mood is brought on by the medication that he's required to take. The medicine often leaves quite horrible side effects, and often leaves the poor guy quite ill. Because of this, he tends to drop off of them.
Salem is a paranoid schizophrenic, and while he's perfectly sociable while he's medicated, most of the time, off his meds, he is sort of a disaster. He often wanders off, going where the voices want him to. He wakes up from night terrors, and sometimes just doesn't sleep, staying up for days on end creating beautiful works of art. However, he can also get quite violent from time to time, irritable, anxious, and completely prone to random outbursts of violent anger. He will pace around and talk to himself, or his "friends".
This change in him, however, was rather recent, only falling into it in the past few years or so.
Even on medication, he's prone to hearing voices and seeing people and creatures that aren't actually there, however, his interactions with them are quite a bit more peaceful, and less frantic. He'll be found reading to them, or playing them soothing music.

[attr="class","temptabinf2"]Salem is 6'2" and 167 pounds. He is lean and somewhat fragile looking. Delicate. His hair is quite long and a dark violet, but it is a bit layered to frame his face. Sometimes he pulls it back into a small little loose bun or ponytail. He also has some of the most beautiful blue eyes that anyone has ever seen. His nails are always done a dark, matte blackish purple, sometimes he has them even further decorated with matte silver or gold lines. As for his clothes, he looks like some kind of student. He usually has a sweater vest over a button up shirt, black slacks, and usually a white and black uniform jacket. When not in that, he prefers greys and blacks, of any sort of soft material. On his feet, however, he usually has on some feminine sort of combat style boots. He insists it's because the girl shoes look much better than the boy shoes.
