Witches & Pacts
General Information
Witches are humans born with a slight connection to magic. Perhaps they had an inhuman being in their line somewhere, but overtime, the traits disappeared and they became merely human. Witches have the ability to make pacts and contracts, and also the ability to entrap, inhuman beings in order to use their powers for their own.
White Witches use Seraphs and Nephilim more often than not, with an occasional Daemon here or there. They usually use pacts or contracts. A White Witch may have up to two pacts, or a pact and two contracts.
Hoodoo Practitioners use Nephilim and occasionally a Furie. Voodoo Practitioners use Hellions and Furies, and occasionally a Daemon. They usually use pacts or contracts, but will also use entrapment. Blood Witches may have a single pact, as well as up to three contracts. If entrapment is used instead, they may have up to three of them.
Black Witches use Hellions and Furies. They almost always use entrapment. Black Witches may have up to three entrapments and two contracts at any given time.
Pacts and Contracts
Most witches prefer to make pacts or contracts with the ones they borrow power from, probably out of respect for them.
A pact is a magical bond, often formed through blood, or simply through magic itself, that binds a witch with an inhuman being. Its a small little ritualistic ceremony, that changes from being to being and witch to witch. A pact connects the two together. They share pain and sometimes share emotions and thoughts. They can easily be summoned to one another via a special bond that they share.
A contract is much like a pact, but not nearly as personal. A contract is simply a written agreement bound by magic for a witch to use the power of the being they choose.
Entrapments
An entrapment is quite a complicated thing to do. A spell must be placed to trap an inhuman creature, and a crystal must be used to steal it's power. It forms an almost master/slave type bond between the witch and the inhuman being, and the witch can control the other to a certain extent. They do not share an intimate bond exactly, but the witch using the entrapment may force the inhuman being to take all of their pain, as well as have all of their energy expended. Entrapments are usually ended by death of the witch or the being that has been trapped.
